Every year I usually teach this particular workshop in the swamp in South Georgia and every year I get people complaining about the bugs ... So ....
Very Dark Sky with Even More Awesome Views:
This year I thought I would find a different and yet very dark sky area to have this workshop where we could see just as many stars if not more, with a variety of surrounding scenery for the night sky shots and without all the bugs! So here it is ... The Perseid Meteor Shower Photography Workshop in the darkest sky area of North Georgia!
Daytime and Nighttime Scenery Unparalleled to any Workshop Before:
This is going to be an awesome workshop. Its one of my absolute favorite workshops to teach. We will be shooting everything from the sunrise, to the sunset and everything in between and afterwards. During the day we will capture some of the most amazing scenery in Georgia, including incredible waterfalls, mountain vistas, wildlife, flowers, macro, and the list could go on and on.
Then of course when the sun sets, the real fun begins! We will shoot the night sky in a few different areas with incredible opportunities for some light painting in ways that we have never done before. We will have the opportunity to capture the milky way all the way across the sky from one of the highest, as well as darkest, peaks in Georgia or anywhere along the east coast. There is no better place to capture the meteor shower than in these gorgeous locations we have planned for this workshop!
Everything You Need To Know:
To kick off the workshop, we will begin with our classroom presentation, where we will go over everything you need to know in order to capture amazing imagery both day and night that will leave your viewers awe inspired. For those of you who want to take your photography to the next level, we will go over different avenues and ways that you can do just that. Then we will spend the rest of the weekend in hands on, one on one practice of all these techniques, tricks and controls.
Individual One on One Instruction:
I will work with each student to meet you where you are to make sure that no matter what skill level you come to the workshop having, you will leave knowing a lot more and have amazing images to prove it!
Something Very Special:
Many people in America today will never see all the stars or the Milky Way like you can see them in this awesome location. I will teach each person how to capture it just as you see it and even better. And the best part, absolutely NO special equipment is needed.
What you will need:
A camera that allows for manual controls
Your camera manual or a guide for it if you do not know how to use the manual controls on your camera.
Recommended but not Required:
A circular Polarizing Filter
A Neutral Density Filter
I typically only allow a maximum of 10 - 12 participants at any of my larger workshops, so please RSVP as soon as possible to secure you spot.
An assortment of nearby accommodations are available. We are currently working on a deal for significantly discounted rates at several of these and will post their availability as soon as we have those confirmed.
The images presented here are only a sampling of the amazing scenery we will see this weekend. For more samples of my work, please feel free to visit my website at the following link:
